Christmas Day 2009

As you can see I'm still a little behind on my blogging. But I'm getting there. Christmas was wonderful for our family, at least those of us who were well! Jacob and Cade both had pink eye with the yucky eye boogies and David had the flu I think:( It was pretty sad. But that didn't stop Santa from coming and having a pretty fun Christmas. Unfortunately we didn't take pictures of the gift opening. Danita received a new purse, perfume, jewelry, and her favorite choclates, yum yum! Kids received transformers, bakugans, books, movies, leap frog computer games, clothes, and an indy board custom made by our neighbor! We did take pictures of our family outing later in the day. David received a 22 pistol for Christmas (not from me). The story is he's been wanting a pistol for a long time and his work friends talked him into doing some PM's (preventative maintenance) on a Red Lobster in west Phoenix. They coaxed him into this arrangement with the promise of a pistol for Christmas. Well that hooked him! Needless to say he got lot's of bullets from us to go have fun shooting it...and of course take us along with him! It was a little chilly but nonetheless we still had fun. David even helped Jacob shoot a few targets and Danita was a natural sharp shooter, ha, ha, ha! JUST kidding! We also got to shoot the 22 rifle. Our ears were all ringing by the end. Merry Christmas!

Cade's Big 3 Birthday Party

Wow! Cade has turned 3 and we had a blast! Lot's of friends came over and helped us celebrate! He even got an awesome birthday cake with superhero's on it.

He was pretty excited but kind of bashful when it came to being the center of attention. That doesn't run in our family, does it? Dad had to help him focus on blowing out his candles. Silly kid!

His favorite part was opening gifts and playing at the park with his friends. In fact, we have a friend who's decided to be a part of our family pic. You can see him trying to peek his head up!

We love birthday's and friends!

Fun at the Fair!

We go to the AZ state fair every year! We had lots of fun on the rides and looking at the stinky animals. They had a cute petting zoo this year with little goats and pigs. They even had little kangaroos (I'm sure they're not called kangaroos). If any of you knew me as a kid I was having a blast! We dared David to go on the "big scary" ride, and he did! David was giggling like a girl! He'd be so mad if I knew I wrote that. The boys LOVED all the rides and were begging for more. Fairs are expensive...I don't recommend buying food, unless it's the yummy scones, they're worth every penny. We also had our pictures taken! Doesn't David look hot!? Cade, your awesome! I love my pink hairdo, it looks so....tasty? We love fairs!

This kids a goof!

Cade, we love you but your just full of silliness! I laugh all the time, except for when he's causing trouble or making a mess, which happens a lot. Ah well, your only a kid once, right?

Summer Vacation

On the road again! Yes we drove to I.F. from Mesa and yes it sucks! However, we have some funny pictures! and we were able to visit a lot of family and stay in the "vacant" house in Washington. The kids slept in a tee-pee! I went to my 10 year highschool reunion which was lame. It was cold, then it rained, then it was over. Oh well! We got to go camping and catch some fish at Island Park. Cade was afraid of the floppy fish and breezy out-house! Brrrr! We had lot's of fun playing with cousins and on the way back to AZ we stopped off in Duschesne, UT to visit David's sister Kristen and hubby Paul. They were very hospitable! We love your weiner dog! Yee-haw for road trips!

So sad to see them go, but so proud!

We were able to visit David's parents in Washington, Utah before they left for they're mission to Nauvoo, Illinois. This picture was taken in April right before they left. We're so excited for them but will miss them dearly. It was a quick but fun family reunion. Good Luck Elder and Sister Hinton!

Blogger Beginnings

Well, I've decided to start out my blog at the beginning of the year 2009. We're living in a condo in sunny, Mesa, AZ and loving it, cause our community has a pool and we have tons of friends so close! We sold our Mesa house November 2008 and are renting for now. We want to stay close to the east side of the valley out of convenience for David's helicopter school. Yes...he's still going to flight school and working hard on that instrument rating, but will soon be completed, as you will soon find out in the upcoming blog posts. Anyway, one of the first celebrations of the year is Jacob's birthday on March 3rd. He turned 5 years old! He attended pre-school this year and loved it. Our first born in the desert is getting so big....sniff...sniff...wipe a tear. Mom, made him a special choo-choo train cake which he picked out of a book. It was really good but not so easy to make, the licorice track was a little tricky! He received lots of fun gifts like a (mini tramp) and cards from Grandma's and Grandpa's. Thanks! We love all our family who support us and who we wish we could be closer to. Well, tll next time. This is fun. I'm finally getting some use out of all my digital photos that no one but my computer has seen. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Oh, and by the way, Danita's hair is no longer blonde, but it was cute while it lasted. Bye
